Comments: | Introduced by Max Von dem Borne who acquired 500 individuals for experimental rearing at his hatchery in Berneuchen. Reintroduced by Von dem Borne in 1886 with individuals from the USA and 125 individuals from France. They now occur mainly in Bavaria. Competes with other species (Ref. 1739).
